The World Cup trophy will arrive at the New York-New Jersey stadium inside an exclusive trunk created by Louis Vuitton. The French fashion house is once again collaborating with FIFA, designing the case that will protect football’s most prestigious prize. This marks the fifth consecutive year the brand has been commissioned to create this case, following the World Cups of 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022.
The design maintains the fashion house’s signature style. The front features a large gold-colored “V,” referencing both the word “Victory” and the Vuitton name. The exterior also displays the brand’s classic monogram and brass reinforcements with a gold finish.
Louis Vuitton strengthens its partnership with FIFA
The trunk’s interior is lined with beige leather. It also includes a distinctive emblem commemorating the collaboration between Louis Vuitton and FIFA. Every detail is designed to protect this unique piece of world sport.

There is only one trophy dedicated to the World Cup. When not in use for official events, it remains in the FIFA Museum in Zurich. This status makes the design of its case a highly prestigious responsibility for the French firm.

The relationship between luxury brands and major sporting competitions is not new. Tiffany & Co. has manufactured the Vince Lombardi Trophy, awarded to the Super Bowl champion, since 1967. Louis Vuitton also produces the trunks that transport the trophies of the main Formula 1 championships thanks to a ten-year agreement. These collaborations demonstrate the value that major competitions place on craftsmanship and design when it comes to protecting their most iconic prizes.
