Governor Lorena Cuéllar highlighted FITUR 2026 as a turning point for Tlaxcala’s international promotion, describing the fair as a valuable opportunity to strengthen the state’s tourism and economic profile.
In an interview with El Mundo USA, she explained that the event allows Tlaxcala to present its cultural richness and development potential to a global audience seeking authentic destinations.
A key component of the state’s participation was its presence at La Vaguada, one of Madrid’s most popular commercial spaces, where thousands of visitors gather daily.
There, Tlaxcala showcased elements of its cultural identity, including traditional cuisine, dances and crafts, creating strong visibility among European audiences.
Beyond cultural promotion, Cuéllar stressed that FITUR facilitates dialogue with investors and tourism stakeholders, opening doors to new partnerships and strategic agreements.
These actions have translated into tangible results, including growth in foreign tourism, expanded lodging infrastructure and the organization of international events within the state.
Looking ahead, the governor underscored that Tlaxcala is entering a new phase of economic development, marked by the upcoming inauguration of the nation’s first development hub, aimed at boosting employment and regional growth.
