The governor of Tlaxcala, Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, highlighted that her administration has allocated a historic investment of 9 billion pesos in works and actions across the 60 municipalities of the state.

During the Tlaxcalteca Meeting in Muñoz de Domingo Arenas, the governor emphasized that these resources have been utilized without generating public debt, maintaining healthy finances and prioritizing the well-being of the population.

Investment in Muñoz de Domingo Arenas: key works and local development

In this municipality, the state government has invested more than 105 million pesos in the last four years, of which 53 million were allocated to public works.

Among the main actions, the following stand out:

  • Rehabilitation of roads such as Muñoz-La Trasquila.
  • Repaving Cuamantzingo-Muñoz.
  • Improvement of access to communities.
  • Construction of the municipal presidency.
  • Installation of a C2 to reinforce security.

Public spaces such as parks, outdoor gyms, and the restoration of the train station, now aimed at promoting local culture, were also encouraged.

Support for the countryside and social programs in Tlaxcala

The state administration has delivered more than 6,000 direct supports to farmers, strengthening agricultural activity.

Additionally, thru social programs, water tanks and rainwater harvesting systems, microenterprise loans, eco-friendly stoves, food baskets and nutritional support, free eye surgeries, and housing initiatives have been distributed.

These initiatives aim to improve the quality of life for families and reduce inequalities in the state.

Strategic projects for 2026 in Tlaxcala

The governor announced that in 2026, works focused on social and economic development will be carried out, including: City of the Family, City of the Elderly, City of the Woman, City of Inclusion, Family Coexistence Center, and the expansion of the Hemodialysis Clinic

These projects aim to stimulate regional growth and strengthen social infrastructure in Tlaxcala.

Security in Tlaxcala: lowest crime rate in Mexico

The head of the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Tlaxcala, Alberto Martín Perea Marrufo, reported that the state has maintained its status as the entity with the lowest crime rate in the country for 43 consecutive months.

In 2026, security measures have allowed:

  • Arrest more than 300 people.
  • Recover 150 stolen vehicles.
  • Secure 15 firearms.
  • Avoid losses from extortion exceeding 1.2 million pesos.

Social support from the DIF and care for vulnerable groups

The honorary president of the Tlaxcala State DIF System, Mariana Espinosa de los Monteros Cuéllar, highlighted that more than 409 thousand supports and services have been provided in the municipality.

Among them:

  • 5,700 rehabilitation therapies.
  • 2,500 food baskets for vulnerable sectors.
  • More than 49,000 school breakfasts per year.
  • Support for women heads of households.

Commitment to the environment and sustainable development

The environmental prosecutor Iván García Juárez stated that actions have been reinforced to protect natural resources, including: the sanitation of the Zahuapan River, the closure of open-air dumps, and environmental monitoring and the promotion of complaints.

These measures aim to ensure sustainable development in the state.

The municipal president, Héctor Prisco Fernández, acknowledged the support of the state government, highlighting that the investments have generated direct benefits for the population.

The governor reiterated that her administration will continue working until the last day to promote development in all regions of the state.

With a historic investment and a comprehensive strategy that combines infrastructure, security, social development, and environmental care, Tlaxcala is moving toward a model of sustained growth.
