Louis Vuitton has expanded the Escales Autour du Monde collection with a new high watchmaking creation, combining advanced mechanical techniques with meticulous dial craftsmanship. The Escale en Alaska pocket watch embodies this commitment through a blend of technical precision and artisanal finishes inspired by one of North America’s most iconic landscapes.
The piece was developed by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Geneva, where the Maison produces its movements and manufactures key watch components. The model features a 50mm case and incorporates a tourbillon alongside a Jacquemart mechanism; this system animates various scenes through a complex arrangement of 17 moving parts distributed across nine distinct animations.

The dial recreates a nocturnal landscape dominated by the Margerie Glacier, with the Northern Lights serving as a backdrop for a composition that includes a whale, an orca, and groups of penguins. Each element is integrated into the watch’s mechanism, allowing for a dynamic representation that unites horological precision with elaborate artistry.

This creation also marks a first for the French Maison by incorporating an LV Monogram Star-cut diamond onto the dial. At 0.05 carats, this stone represents the smallest version of this exclusive design produced to date.
